Professor KaKing Yan and his group are seeking highly motivated research assistant professor or postdoctoral research fellow candidates with interest in understanding the fundamental of supramolecular systems (including metal-organic framework MOF).
We mainly focus on three research topics:
1.Establishing new methodologies to functional materials using the principle of self-assembly process;
2.Understanding catalytic processes using these materials;
3.Developing a new structure analysis method (crystalline sponge method).
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Carry out research projects independently as well as a part of a team;
2. Help with the student supervision and education.
1.Age under 40 for research assistant professor.
2.Age under 35 for postdoctoral research fellow .
3.Postdoctoral experience is preferred for research assistance professor position.
4.Candidates should have a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in chemistry, material science or in related areas.
5.Excellent communication and writing skills in English are required.
6.The ideal candidate would have extensive background in synthetic and catalytic chemistry.
7.Experience in single crystal X-ray diffraction and structure analysis would be preferred.
